Empowering Youth of Promise through Education for 20 years

It is with sadness that we report that Legacy of Learning is closed.

For Parents

You-Can-Help-smallOnce a kid falls behind in school, the choice to remedy the situation is rarely one they can make by themselves. Whether a student’s difficulties are social, motivational or academic, even the very best teachers are often unable to devote the time and energy the child needs to catch up to the level of their friends and peers.

That’s where you come in.

As the parent, step-parent or legal guardian of a child, it becomes your responsibility to help the child in your life get back on track.

Our mission is to support you in that choice. Depending on socio-economic qualifications we can even provide either free or low-cost one-to-one instruction for at-risk students. Characteristics of at-risk youth include, but are not limited to:

  • Family instability
  • Economic disadvantages
  • Lack of community and educational resources
  • Other factors that would prohibit youth from successfully transitioning to adulthood and achieving self-sufficiency

Helping with mathIf you’d like to see how we work, we’d love to extend an invitation to come see us. You’ll be astonished at how well our Direct Instruction methods work, and how swiftly we can get a young person back into the academic mainstream. We can help by providing instruction, free or reduced-cost, if the child qualifies in:

  • Reading
  • Spelling
  • Math
  • Writing
  • Critical Thinking

Not every kid who drops out of High School will miss out on the life they deserve; but sadly, the majority will. Don’t let your kid be one of them. Contact us, and find out how we can help. It’s our job – and we love doing it.
